Badrinath yatra is one of the four important shrines of India, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located in the state of Uttarakhand at an elevation of 3,133 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest temples in the country. Badrinath Yatra by Helicopter is one of the most popular pilgrimage trips in India. The temple is open for pilgrims from the end of April to mid-November. During this time, the temple gets packed with devotees taking part in the yatra to seek blessings from Lord Vishnu.
The yatra usually begins from the nearby town of Haridwar, which is well connected to major cities of India. From Haridwar, pilgrims take a road trip to Joshimath, which is the main base camp to reach Badrinath. Along the way, people stop to take a dip in the Ganges at Devprayag, visit the temple of Shri Kedarnath Ji and admire the scenic beauty of the Himalayas.
